Agreement
These terms are an agreement between you and [Company legal name], [registered address] ("QuietSwap", "we", "us"), for the use of quietswap.io and the QuietSwap swap service. By creating a swap or sending a deposit, you accept these terms and our Privacy policy. If you don't agree, don't use the service.
The service
QuietSwap is an instant exchange. You send one cryptocurrency to a deposit address we give you, and we send a different cryptocurrency to the address you provide. We currently support Monero (XMR) and Bitcoin (BTC) in both directions.
We are not a bank, wallet or custodian. We don't hold balances for you, and we don't give investment, tax or legal advice.
Who can use it
- You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding agreement.
- You must be allowed to use a service like this where you live. You are responsible for following your local laws, including tax rules.
- You must use only coins and wallets that you own or are authorized to use.
How swaps work
- You choose the direction, enter the amount and your receiving address, and optionally a refund address.
- We show the estimated amount you'll receive, our fee and the network fee, then give you a one-time deposit address.
- You send the exact amount. After it gets the required confirmations (2 for Bitcoin, 10 for Monero), we exchange it and send the payout.
Most swaps finish in 20 to 60 minutes. Times are estimates, not guarantees: busy blockchains, low network fees or additional checks can make a swap take longer.
Rates and fees
- Service fee: 1% of the swap, taken from the amount you receive.
- Network fee: the blockchain fee for sending your payout, shown in the swap box.
- Rate: the amount shown when you create a swap is an estimate based on the live market rate. The final amount is set when your deposit is confirmed and can differ if the market moves.
- Minimum: the equivalent of US$85 per swap, shown in XMR or BTC in the swap box at the live rate when you create the swap.
Deposits
- Send your deposit within 60 minutes of creating the swap. After that the swap expires. A late deposit is processed at the rate when it confirms, or refunded if that isn't possible.
- Each deposit address is for one swap only. Don't reuse it.
- If you send more or less than the amount shown, the swap is recalculated at the rate when your deposit confirms.
- A deposit below the minimum is returned to your refund address, minus the network fee.
- Only send the coin shown. Coins sent on the wrong network or as the wrong asset may not be recoverable.
Refunds
If a swap can't be completed, we refund your deposit, minus the network fee, to the refund address you gave us. If you didn't give one, contact us with your order ID within 24 hours and we'll arrange it. Completed swaps can't be reversed, because blockchain transactions are final.
Your addresses
We check that every address has a valid format for its blockchain, but we can't know who controls it. You are responsible for entering an address you control. Payouts sent to the address you entered are final, even if it was the wrong one.
Prohibited use
You may not use QuietSwap for money laundering, terrorist financing, fraud, sanctions evasion, ransomware, theft or any other illegal activity, or to swap coins you obtained illegally. You may not attack, overload or try to get unauthorized access to the service.
We may refuse, pause or cancel a swap, and refund it where the law allows, if we reasonably believe it breaks these terms or the law, or if we are legally required to.
Risks
Cryptocurrency prices can move quickly. Blockchains can be slow, congested or affected by network problems outside our control. Transactions can't be cancelled once sent. You use the service at your own risk and should only swap amounts you can afford to wait for.
Liability
The service is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, lost profits, market movements during a swap, delays caused by blockchain networks, or losses from incorrect addresses you provide. Our total liability for any swap is limited to the amount of that swap's deposit. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. Changes apply to swaps created after the update, never to a swap already in progress.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of [country / jurisdiction]. Disputes will be handled by the courts of [city / jurisdiction], unless the law where you live gives you the right to use your local courts.
